The iconic Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital carries a luminous legacy. The hospital was founded by Ratilal Manilal Nanavati in memory of his grandfather who was the physician to the royal family of Gaekwads. When it was still in its gestational stage, the Father of our Nation, Mahatma Gandhi expressed the hope that the institution would serve people from all sections of society. Mahatma Gandhi was among the first to give his blessings and set the course of its journey of care and compassion.
